meet santa and the animals

Saturdays and Sundays 4th & 5th, 11th & 12th
and 18th & 19th December, 2010, 12 noon to 4 pm

Santa and his elf will be visiting Camperdown Wildlife Centre every weekend during December, leading up to Christmas.

In a fantastic festive day out, visitors can see Santa in his colourfully decorate Grotto. Welcomed by the man himself, children will have the opportunity to let Santa know what they'd like for Christmas, and receive a special gift.

Mrs Claus will be serving hot drinks and mince pies in her cafe, where you can take shelter from the cold. Fun activities will also be on offer in the cafe.

Admission included in normal entrance fee to Wildlife Centre - small additional charge for refreshments in Mrs Claus' cafe.

No need to book, just come along.

grand opening day!

Saturday 12th February - 10am to 3.30pm
Come along to the Grand Opening of our new Camperdown Wildlife entrance facility and Café. Have a look round our new building and find out more about our latest projects and conservation ideas in our new Learning room where our staff will be on hand to answer your questions. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in conservation by becoming a 'Friend of Camperdown Wildlife Centre'. And if you're feeling a little bit peckish, why not try some of the home baked food in our new café before you visit your favourite animals.

Sunday 13th to Monday 14th February - 10am to 3.30pm
Feeling romantic about wildlife? Then come along with your family and loved ones to find out about our conservation programmes for 2011 and celebrate St Valentines Day at the Wildlife Centre and enjoy a romantic walk. You could even propose to the one you love to make the day a very unique day. Special discounts are available on the day with two for one adult entry for these two romantic days,13th and 14th February.

easter wildlife fun

Sunday 24th April - 10am to 4pm
Come to Camperdown Wildlife Centre and see our animals with a 'Spring' in their step as the new season arrives. Visit the family activity area where there are lots of fun ways to learn about animals. Activities in the new Learning Room.

love your zoo week - 10am to 4pm

Monday 30th May to Sunday 5th June
Visit, get involved and learn about your local zoo. Find out about the important work they do for the natural world. Learn how the professional organisation of BIAZA works with UK zoos to promote their important conservation aims. With special family activities and presentations, you can also watch some of our animal feeding encounters with the keepers too.

camperdown zoofest 2011 - a festival of animals!

Saturday 2nd July to Sunday 14th August
Something fun every weekday of the school holidays. Various events throughout this holiday period may include, face painting, story telling, animals up close safari trails, workshops, quiz picnics, animal games etc. Keep an eye on our website for further details.

Come along and see Camperdown Wildlife Centre's involvement in this year's fun packed family event. Details to be confirmed.

community open day

Sunday 9th October - 10am to 3pm
Come along and see what's been happening at Camperdown Wildlife Centre throughout the year. This community day is free of admission charge for all visitors. Watch some of our animal feeding and encounters with the keepers too.

Traditional family fun with Santa and his Elf beside our animals, plus Mrs Claus' Café to keep you warm. Watch some of our animal feeding and encounters with the keepers too.
